Warwick, Rhode Island
We started with a family recipe and a belief that the best flavors of the Ocean State deserved to be in every kitchen — not just ours.
How It Started
"Rhode Island has a flavor all its own. We just figured out how to bottle it."
Iggy's Shop grew out of a simple truth: the recipes that define Rhode Island — the chowders, the stuffies, the johnnycakes — were disappearing from everyday kitchens. Life got busy. Traditions got lost. We decided to do something about it.
We took the family recipes that had been passed down through generations and worked to make them shelf-stable without sacrificing a drop of flavor. The result is a line of mixes and pantry staples that taste like they came straight from a Rhode Island kitchen — because they did.
Today, Iggy's Shop is a gathering place in Warwick, RI. A spot where locals stock up, visitors discover something new, and everyone leaves with a little piece of the Ocean State.
What We Stand For
Every recipe we carry started in someone's kitchen — passed down, tested on Sunday afternoons, and perfected over decades.
We source locally whenever we can. If it says Iggy's, it has a connection to the Ocean State — full stop.
No mystery fillers. Our shelf-stable mixes use the same quality ingredients you'd reach for at the farmers market.
We don't chase trends. We make things that taste the way they're supposed to — the way your grandmother made them.
The Ocean State
"Every jar tastes like Sunday dinner."
Our Journey
The Beginning
It started with a pot of chowder and a family recipe that everyone kept asking for. Rather than keep it a secret, Iggy decided to share it — one jar at a time.
Growing Roots
Word spread fast in Warwick. Neighbors, friends, and local shops started stocking Iggy's mixes. The lineup grew to include stuffed quahog seasoning, johnnycake mix, and more Rhode Island classics.
The Shop Opens
Iggy's Shop opened its doors in Warwick, RI — a place to browse, taste, and bring a little Rhode Island home. Souvenirs, novelty gifts, and pantry staples all under one roof.
Today
We're still the same small shop with big flavors. Every product we carry is a love letter to Rhode Island — its coast, its kitchens, and the people who call it home.
Locally Sourced
We work with local growers, fishermen, and producers whenever possible. Rhode Island has an incredible food culture — from the quahog beds of Narragansett Bay to the cornmeal mills that have been grinding since the 1700s.
When you open a jar of Iggy's, you're tasting that heritage. We're proud to be part of a tradition that stretches back generations, and we take that responsibility seriously.
